Independent Retailer Sees Benefits of ‘ObamaCare’
Chicago Tribune 08/15/2010Apelian Carpets and Orientals, which has six full-time employees, has seen insurance premiums increase by 15 to 20 percent annually for years. The company’s owner has said high premiums have prevented it from adding more workers, but that may change now that Apelian is eligible for a tax credit of up to 35 percent for the cost of the plan under new federal healthcare legislation.
