Instacart to hire 300K ‘shoppers’ as delivery demands rise

Instacart plans to hire an additional 300,000 “full-service shoppers” over the next three months to meet the demand for deliveries as millions of Americans try to avoid public shopping spaces. Instacart’s shoppers are considered independent contractors and are not employees of the delivery service.
