Mickey Drexler, executive chairman of J.Crew and its CEO from 2003 to 2017, has retired from the clothing chain buried under a pile of debt and seeking to reestablish its brand with younger consumers. Mr. Drexler is succeeded by Chad Leat, as vice chairman.
