Judge rules pharma companies don’t have to advertise drug prices

U.S. District Judge Amit Mehta has ruled that the Health and Human Services Department does not have the legal authority to require pharmaceutical companies to list drug prices in their television advertising. The judge did not take issue with the goal of the regulation but concluded that it would require Congress to pass legislation to give it legal authority.
