Sales at Costco improved 6.5 percent in June, well above the 4.7 percent expected by analysts per Consensus Metrix. The warehouse club chain reported increases in the sale of appliances, computers, gardening products and tires. The sales improvement followed a hike in Costco’s membership fees on June 1.
