Kohl’s expects to benefit from the misfortune of rival retailers

Kohl’s CEO Kevin Mansell said the retailer expects to pick up customers from weaker department store rivals that have had to close stores. Mr. Mansell said Kohl’s has benefited from operating off-mall stores and that it focused on becoming “one of the best-in-class omnichannel retailers” to serve customers based on their shopping preferences.
