L.L. Bean duck boots more popular than ever

L.L. Bean has seen sales grow from fewer than 100,000 a year a decade ago to more than 600,000 this year for its iconic boot with a leather top and rubber soles. Demand for the boot, which is expected to top one million unit sales in 2018, has led the company to lease a larger building in Maine where it manufactures the product’s rubber soles.
