Lab grown meat company raises $161M in new funding

Memphis Meats, a startup that is growing meat from the cells of livestock, has received $161 million in funding, including contributions from Cargill and Tyson Foods. “People thought this was all science fiction,” said Uma Valeti, co-founder and CEO of Memphis Meats. “This can be done. This is real.”
