Lowe’s reports loss, CEO pleased with progress

Lowe’s reported a 1.7 percent gain in same-store sales, 2.4 percent in the U.S., for the fourth quarter. The home improvement chain reported a net loss of $824 million for the quarter, down from earnings of $554 million the year prior. CEO Marvin Ellison said he is pleased with the progress made on transforming Lowe’s.
