Macy’s shares jump on same-store sales increase

Macy’s reported a three percent gain in same-store sales for January and offered an improved outlook for 2018. The retailer also posted earning per share of $2.82 in the last quarter, above the $2.71 consensus among analysts. Shares in the company were up around 11 percent in early trading.
