McDonald’s may walk back reopening plans for indoor seating

At the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in early 2020, McDonald’s made the decision to close almost all indoor seating at its U.S. restaurants. By July of this year, the fast-feeder was well on its way back to relative normalcy, having reopened nearly 70 percent of locations, but according to internal documents acquired by Reuters, management is telling franchisees that they may need to take steps to close again in areas where the Delta variant is surging.
