McD’s to require vaccines for corporate staff, delays opening of HQ
August 12, 2021
McDonald’s is requiring its corporate staff to get fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and is pushing back the reopening of its Chicago headquarters building by more than a month. All the fast-food giant’s corporate staff will be required to get vaccinated by Sept. 27. “Getting vaccinated is the single most effective thing you can do to protect yourself, your families and our communities, and a key step towards recovery from COVID-19. It’s why so many markets have partnered with their local governments to get the word out to our customers as well,” according to an internal memo. The company has said that employees may request an exemption based on medical or religious reasons.
