Micromanagement is a performance killer

A recent Harvard Business Review survey finds that granting employees autonomy is key to higher individual and organizational performance. Micromanaging, on the other hand, has the opposite effect.  Leaders looking to get the most from their workers are encouraged to explain big picture thinking to employees as well as what type of results are expected.
