New chairman to be named at Carrefour
June 7, 2017
44 year old Alexandre Bompard is to be named the new chairman of Carrefour in the coming days, set with the task of reviving the world’s second largest retailer. The retailer has had difficulty in France of late, while Fnac, which Bompard has headed since 2011, has done very well. Unions may be concerned, as they believe he has a reputation for cost cutting.
