Nike: Jordan brand breaches $1 billion in latest quarter
December 20, 2019
Nike exceeded analysts’ earnings estimates in its latest quarterly report, coming in at 70 cents vs. the 58 cents expected, and revenue hit $10.33 billion, better than the $10.09 billion estimated. About $1 billion of that revenue came in from the basketball-focused Jordan brand, which did particularly well among women and overseas. And yet on the news that North American sales came in somewhat under what was projected, Nike’s share price fell 2 percent in after-hours trading.
