No Prime Day, no problem for Amazon’s 3Q results

Amazon.com posted a 37.4 percent sales increase during the third quarter and profits jumped 197 percent despite the lack of its annual Prime Day event, which it moved to October. The quarter was the second consecutive sales and profit record breaker for the e-tail and technology giant.
