Nordstrom is eliminating 106 customer-care specialists, workers who answer customer questions over the phone, on online chats or through email, across the country. Thirty positions are based in Seattle, while another 18 are in Cedar Rapids. Fifty-eight others work from home in other parts of the U.S. The chain said investments it has made in making the shopping experience easier has reduced the number of contacts it receives from customers.
