Customer traffic and sales have slowed down at Nordstrom Rack and the off-price chain’s parent company, Nordstrom Inc., is under pressure from investors to do something about it. This week, Nordstrom Rack is opening a store in New York’s Herald Square that includes mobile checkout and other touches designed to speed the shopping process for customers while making the experience more enjoyable.
