NRF forecasts a merry Christmas for retailers

The National Retail Federation is forecasting a sales increase of between 3.6 percent and 5.2 percent for the last two months of the year. “We know we’ve got momentum as we head into the season,” said NRF CEO Matthew Shay. “We’ve seen consumers very, very engaged, looking for opportunities to celebrate.”
