Package theft soars across the U.S.
The New York Times 12/02/2019Over 90,000 packages are stolen or otherwise disappear in New York City on a daily basis, according to a New York Times analysis. In cities across the country, about 15 percent of all deliveries fail to make it to their intended destination. Denver, Washington, D.C. and other cities have seen spikes in recent years. In suburbs, thieves tail delivery trucks waiting to steal packages before customers receive them.
