Paralympic athlete and ex-employee sues Home Depot over firing

Barbara Buchan, a Paralympic athlete, is suing Home Depot for $1.5 million after the retailer fired her for keeping $11 worth of presentation materials in her car overnight. Ms. Buchan, who worked for Home Depot for more than 11 years, claims she was fired for stealing the merchandise after she reported being injured on the job. She suffers from a traumatic brain injury she received in a collision while competing for a place on the U.S. Cycling Team.
