P&G CEO opposes hedge fund’s plan to turn CPG giant around

David Taylor, Procter & Gamble’s CEO, says that Nelson Peltz’s plan to turn around the CPG business would involve steep cost cutting in areas such as research and development (R&D). Mr. Pelz, according to Mr. Taylor, sees R&D as a corporate “hobby” instead of a necessity.
