Tom Moriarty has been appointed as the Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Albertsons Companies, Inc. starting from June 5, 2023. Moriarty brings over three decades of executive leadership experience, including roles in legal, corporate strategy, policy, and operations. He joins Albertsons from CVS Health, where he served in various senior positions, most recently as Executive Vice President, Chief Policy and External Affairs Officer, and General Counsel.
During his tenure at CVS Health, Moriarty played a key role in overseeing legal and regulatory functions, including the company’s acquisition of Aetna. He also led global pharmaceutical sourcing operations and represented CVS on the White House COVID-19 task force. Moriarty’s extensive experience and strategic expertise make him a valuable addition to Albertsons’ leadership team as the company continues to execute its Customers for Life strategy. He will report to CEO Vivek Sankaran. Moriarty replaces Juliette Pryor, who left Albertsons in April.
