Dollar General Corporation (NYSE: DG) announced today that David Rowland has been appointed to its board of directors. Rowland is the former Executive Chairman of Accenture plc, and he brings a wealth of experience in finance, operations, strategy, and risk management to the Dollar General board.

Rowland’s appointment expands the Dollar General board to ten members. He will join the nine current board members, who have extensive expertise across a variety of industries. Rowland will also serve on the board’s audit committee.
