Mary Kay is reaffirming its longstanding partnership with The Nature Conservancy (TNC) to support ocean conservation and coral reef protection during Ocean’s Week. As coral reefs face global loss, Mary Kay is backing a collaborative effort led by TNC, Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, and Stanford University to explore “super reefs” — resilient coral communities within reef systems. The goal is to understand their secrets and protect critical coral reefs. Mary Kay’s support enables TNC to assess reef health, identify potential super reef locations, and improve local reef management. The focus areas for super reefs include Hawaii, Palau, Indonesia, the Marshall Islands, the Bahamas, the Dominican Republic, and Belize. Additionally, Mary Kay will continue its support for the Coastal Wetlands in Texas, aiming to protect and restore priority wetland areas along the Gulf of Mexico. Mary Kay and TNC have partnered since 1990, expanding their conservation efforts worldwide. The collaboration also promotes women’s leadership in marine conservation.
