SONIC Drive-In has teamed up with renowned musical artists, including JP Saxe, Kelsea Ballerini, Lainey Wilson, and Metro Boomin, to showcase their favorite custom drink remixes this summer. With thousands of unique drink combinations, SONIC is sharing the artists’ refreshing drink choices starting from July 17, allowing fans to enjoy beverages inspired by their favorite stars or get creative and invent their own combinations.
The featured drink remixes from the artists include JP Saxe’s Mango Slush with NERDS Candy, Kelsea Ballerini’s Ocean Water with Blue Raspberry and Lime, Lainey Wilson’s Sprite Zero with Strawberries and Sugar-Free Peach, and Metro Boomin’s Lemonade with Strawberries and Vanilla. SONIC CMO, Lori Abou Habib, expressed the brand’s deep connection with music and its desire to incorporate it authentically. By partnering with these talented artists, SONIC aims to showcase the artists’ preferred drink customizations and cater to fans’ diverse cravings.
SONIC provides an array of add-ins, such as Cranberry and Sugar-Free Mango flavors, real fruit options like Cherries and Lemons, and even NERDS Candy, to create the perfect soft drink, lemonade, limeade, iced tea, or SONIC Slush.
The artists themselves shared their enthusiasm for SONIC and their favorite drink remixes. Kelsea Ballerini expressed her love for SONIC’s Ocean Water, remixing it with blue raspberry and real limes to create a refreshing vacation-like experience. Metro Boomin, reminiscing about his childhood memories at SONIC, highlighted the joy of enjoying a Lemonade with vanilla and real strawberries, especially during the summer heat.
Fans can recreate the musicians’ drink remixes or create their own unique concoctions by visiting any of the 3,500 SONIC locations across the U.S., ordering online, or using the SONIC App. Moreover, fans are encouraged to share their favorite #SonicDrinkRemix on social media.
In addition to enjoying their preferred sips, guests can contribute to a good cause. Every drink, slush, and shake purchase supports local schools through the SONIC Limeades for Learning initiative, with a portion of sales being donated to public education. Since 2009, SONIC has donated over $26 million to fund local classrooms, making it one of the leading programs supporting public education in the U.S.
