GamePhilos Studio, renowned expert in MMO and strategy games, has secured $8 million in seed funding from backers including Xterio Ltd., Animoca Ventures, SevenX Ventures, Chain Hill Capital, and others. The team, composed of industry veterans from major players like Netease, Zynga, and Blizzard Entertainment, will utilize the funding to develop and launch their upcoming strategy game, Age of Dino.
This innovative title will blend elements from web 3.0 and traditional gaming, redefining digital ownership and offering players a unique experience. The game places players in a war for survival with genetically engineered dinosaur war machines, featuring real-time battles and extensive multiplayer options.
Age of Dino will leverage the Xterio Foundation platform and will be one of the first projects deployed on BNB Chain’s layer 2 opBNB, demonstrating its scaling capabilities. The game is set to launch in selected countries on mobile devices early next year.
