Amazon.com generated $1 billion in revenue for its 30-hour Prime Day event blowing past what it typically sells on key selling days such as Black Friday and Cyber Monday, according to estimates by Cowen & Co. and JPMorgan Chase. The performance was triple its average daily haul in 2016, according to Bloomberg.
