Puma ups inventory to get around Trump’s tariffs

The sportswear company Puma is carrying up to seven percent in additional inventory as it prepares for the imposition of higher tariffs on Chinese imports by the U.S. government. Puma has also begun moving production out of China to countries such as Vietnam in a further effort to keep costs under control should President Trump go ahead with an earlier pledge to expand the scope and amount of levies placed on imports from China.
