RFID use on the rise at retail

The percentage of apparel retailers piloting or rolling out radio-frequency identification technology has doubled over the past two years, according to a Kurt Salmon survey. Target, which began tagging all apparel and home goods last spring, has seen major improvements in inventory accuracy since making the switch to RFID.
