Same-store sales decline 1.9 percent at Whole Foods

The bad news for Whole Foods is same-store sales at the grocery chain fell 1.9 percent during the second quarter. The good news is that the drop was less than the 2.2 percent that analysts were expecting. Whole Foods is expecting to complete its acquisition by Amazon.com in the second half of the year pending approval from federal regulators.
