Same-store sales improve at Starbucks

Same-store sales at Starbucks in the U.S. improved five percent in the last quarter as the coffee chain reported an increase in the average ring. Starbucks reported that membership in the company’s Rewards program increased eight percent year-over-year with sales to the 13.3 million active members representing 36 percent of sales at its stores in the U.S.
