Sears closing another 96 stores

Transformco, parent company of Kmart and Sears, plans to close 96 stores in 30 states in addition to previously announced closures. The company will operate 182 stores after the stores are shuttered, down from around 700 last year when Sears Holdings, the previous parent of the two chains, filed for bankruptcy.
