Best Buy has been aggressively seeking to grow its sales of major appliances. The chain is likely to be among the beneficiaries of Sears’ struggles. The department store chain has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection with plans to close 142 stores by the end of the year in addition to 46 others that will be shuttered next month.
