Second bankruptcy could mean mass store closings for Payless

Payless could close most or, perhaps, all of its stores in North America as the discount shoe retailer prepares to head back to bankruptcy court. The retailer, which last filed for bankruptcy in April 2017, has struggled under a debt load taken on in a 2012 leverage buyout by Golden Gate Capital and Blum Capital Partners.
