Simon Property Group is looking to reopen half the malls it operates in the U.S. within the next week. The nation’s largest mall operator, however, faces opposition from some local governments in areas that have been hit hard by the coronavirus outbreak. Simon postponed the opening of some of its properties in Indiana from the first week in May to May 16 based on local conditions.
