A Muslim woman wearing a hijab was called a “terrorist” and subjected to other verbal abuse by a woman at a Smith’s supermarket in New Mexico. Fellow customers and store staff came to the Muslim woman’s aid, forcing the other unidentified woman, who may have been drunk, to leave the store. Later in the day, the Muslim woman returned to the store to thank the staff for protecting her.
