The step stools that Walmart has used to enable warehouse workers to pack trucks are so heavy that some stopped using them and, in the process, failed to fully load vehicles for store deliveries. With its new lighter step stools, Walmart management believes that trucks will be more fully packed, helping to better supply stores and cut up to $30 million in costs in the process.
