Stores Told to Close Doors on AC
WNYC 07/05/2010With temperatures in the neighborhood of 100 degrees, some merchants in New York are using a different type of open-door policy to get consumers into their stores. They are opening doors and letting potential shoppers feel the cool air conditioning that awaits them inside. Unfortunately, that’s against New York’s rules for energy conservation.
