Strong Christmas sales won’t keep stores from closing

Experts believe that retailers will continue to close stores in high numbers despite coming off what was the best Christmas selling season in years. One significant factor has been the shift of sales from stores to online. While sales at physical locations increased 2.6 percent during the holidays, online sales jumped 17.1 percent, according to the research firm, Conlumino.
