Target CEO offers apology, says bad weekend doesn’t alter forecast

Target CEO Brain Cornell offered an apology for the inconvenience customers experienced as registers at the chain’s stores closed down for two hours on Saturday due to an “internal technology issue.” Some of Target’s stores experienced problems processing credit and debit cards on Sunday due to a vendor issue. Mr. Cornell said the company’s forecast had not changed as a result.
