Target is opening more of its small format stores near college campuses, and is also running a six-university pilot program called “Shop Now, Pickup Later” that allows students to place online orders from a curated list of about 300 items, such as lounge chairs, and mini fridges, and then pick them up when they get ready to move into dorms or off-campus housing.
