Target posts a strong Q4 on improved store traffic
March 6, 2018
Target’s hard work updating stores, investments in employee pay and training and other initiatives over the past year may be reaping rewards. The retailer reported a 3.6 percent increase in same-store sales in its most recent quarter, driven by a 3.2 percent bump in traffic to physical and online stores. The company credited the newly-enacted corporate tax breaks with helping to boost its 4th quarter profits to $1.1 billion, a 35 percent jump from $817 million in the same period last year.
