Target’s sales dive as it posts solid same-store sales gain in 3Q

Target’s same-store sales were up 5.1 percent in the third quarter with online sales, which were up 49 percent year-over-year, driving one-third of the chain’s growth. However, shares dropped by more than 10 percent today as investors were disappointed that the retailer missed profit projections.
