Burt Flickinger, managing director of Strategic Resource Group, lists Costco, Kroger, Safeway, Target, Walmart and Wegmans among the companies that may have an interest in pursuing FreshDirect on the heels of Amazon.com’s bid for Whole Foods Market. FreshDirect received a $189 million investment from JPMorgan Asset Management last September.
