It’s been widely assumed that President Donald Trump has engaged in ongoing, provably false attacks against Amazon.com on Twitter because the e-tail giant’s founder and CEO Jeff Bezos owns The Washington Post, which has published news reports critical of the administration. Now, an alternative explanation says Mr. Trump is obsessed with Amazon because its success has made it more difficult for the Trump Organization to find high-paying retail tenants for its properties.
