U.S. job growth falls short of expectations

Economists were expecting 190,000 jobs to be added in July and not the 157,000 reported by the Labor Department. The nation’s unemployment rate inched down from four percent to 3.9 percent, but concerns remain that President Trump’s tariffs are beginning to have a dampening effect on job creation.
