Unionized Starbucks workers use three-day walkout to send a message

Workers at many unionized Starbucks locations around the country took to picket lines beginning last Friday for a three-day strike, flexing their muscles and drawing attention to what they say are unfair unilateral decisions made management without consulting workers. “They’re changing our store hours from 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.,” said Regahan Hall, Starbucks Supervisor at a Memphis café. “So, they’re cutting down our hours like our store hours in general without bargaining.”
