Walmart gives managers a raise
October 13, 2016
In what many see as a preemptive move to get around new overtime pay rules, Walmart has raised the salaries of entry-level managers from $47,476 to $48,500 annually. Under new labor rules that go into effect on Dec. 1., salaried workers earning less than $47,500 a year will be eligible for overtime pay if they work past 40 hours in a week.
