Walmart is serious about competing online

Walmart has invested billions acquiring online sites including Jet.com, ModCloth, Moosejaw and Shoebuy.com as it seeks to close the market share gap between itself and Amazon.com The world’s largest retailer still has a long way to go as it posted $14.4 billion in online sales last year compared to nearly $95 billion for Amazon, according to eMarketer.
